Features: This book is another cultural read dedicated to high school students, following "Selected Explanations of Ancient Famous Quotes" and "Essential Knowledge of Ancient Culture." The book is divided into two main parts:
(1) Essential Knowledge of Literature. It includes Chinese writers and their works, foreign writers and their works, major literary genres, and supplements knowledge related to literary groups and schools associated with important writers.
(2) Exercises on Literary Knowledge. Targeting the above four aspects, it compiles over 50 exercises suitable for the college entrance examination, along with reference answers. During the writing process, we followed two principles: First, closely align with the current secondary school Chinese textbooks; second, refer to the requirements outlined in the "Examination Guidelines" for the literature subject. Although this is a popular small book, to be responsible to the readers, we spent a lot of time checking various materials to ensure accuracy. This book is not an academic monograph and does not delve into in-depth research or evaluation of the selected writers and works, adhering to currently recognized common opinions. To broaden students' knowledge, the book also includes some content not mentioned in secondary school Chinese textbooks. The exercises in the later part of the book are more challenging and can be selectively used.
