Features: Color is a very important part of artistic language. If a painting lacks color, it becomes pale and lifeless, lacking emotional depth and vitality. Everyone has their own favorite colors and unique ways of organizing and combining them, so color is also a highly emotional form of artistic expression. Only by experiencing the charm of color can we use it to express emotions and shape images. First, we must trust our instincts. Without feeling, one cannot engage in artistic creation, but relying solely on feeling is not enough. On one hand, we must understand color based on our sensibilities, and on the other hand, we must master the principles of color expression and organization. Only in this way can our color works possess greater expressiveness.
Value relationships refer to what we commonly call the black-and-white relationship. Reasonably arranging black, white, and gray relationships is the first step in rationally analyzing color. Only by establishing a framework can we make the color "stand" and "shine."
Second is hue. Every arrangement of color will have a dominant hue relationship—whether it is "cool," "warm," or greenish, bluish, or yellowish, etc. Only by first establishing the dominant hue can we organize the relationships between each group of colors into a unified hue tone, creating connections and achieving a harmonious and unified aesthetic in the artwork. On this basis, we can then pay attention to the differences in cool and warm tendencies between the light and dark parts of objects.
