Features: Wim Wenders: A renowned film director, known as one of the "Four Masters of New German Cinema" alongside Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Werner Herzog, and Michael Verhoeven, and a key figure in the "New German Cinema Movement" (NewGermanCinema) of the 1970s. Wenders was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, in 1945. From 1963 to 1965, he studied medicine and philosophy at the University of Munich. In 1966, he failed to enter the prestigious école Nationale de Télévision et de Cinématographie in Paris and instead spent a year at the Cinémathèque Fran?aise, where he taught himself film by watching numerous films. In the 1970s, inspired by American road movies and his childhood love for Western films, Wenders began directing his own European-style road movies, which established his future creative direction and launched his long journey through the world of light and shadow. In his famous film works such as "Paris, Texas," "The American Friend," "Berlin Alexanderplatz," and "Until the End of the World," wandering and alienation became the eternal protagonists. Through these themes, Wenders created poetic and void-filled worlds on screen, earning the admiration of critics and audiences alike and receiving numerous awards at international film festivals like Cannes, Berlin, and Venice. He holds a significant position in the global film industry. The German magazine Der Spiegel once described Wenders as a "transcendent magician." Beyond film, his interests and work span photography, painting, music, writing, and publishing, with his achievements in photography rivaling his reputation as a celebrated director. Since 1986, his photographic works have been featured in numerous exhibitions at renowned museums worldwide, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France, and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain. He has also been included in the Venice Biennale, establishing himself as a globally influential photographer.
