Features: The fu is a literary form that falls between poetry and prose. Although it was not highly valued during a certain period, it is, like poetry, prose, ci, and qu, an important literary style in ancient China. In the historical scroll of the development of ancient Chinese literature, the fu genre also had its brilliant page. Since this book is an anthology with limited word count, we have focused on both the ideological content and artistic value while selecting the most concise and excellent works. Only a few representative large fu pieces were chosen. Moreover, to help readers understand the general overview and developmental context of Chinese fu, we have made every effort to include works from different eras and styles. Of course, to avoid repetition with other anthologies, we have intentionally adjusted some selections. In the "Notes" section, we strive to be concise, accurate, and to the point; while in the "Comments" section, we present our own insights based on the research of predecessors. In short, our goal is to provide readers with a relatively ideal and highly readable edition.
