Features: In contrast to disrespecting nature, the enhancement of environmental education has led people to rediscover the power and beauty of China's environment. People are reseeking exemplary practices in the interaction between humans and the environment. This pursuit has several aspects, one of which is to draw from history, seeking examples of ecological harmony from past experiences. Indeed, current conditions have changed significantly—not only has the overall population of China far exceeded past levels, but today's urban scale is also beyond what was imaginable in the past. Nevertheless, a detailed study of historical environments can still reveal some good practices, some of which may be directly applicable to the present and future. In a bright environmental future, problems such as deforestation, soil erosion, water pollution, and air pollution will be addressed through the united efforts of the entire nation. Leaders play a critical role as role models and pioneers, but it must also be recognized that local people must take the lead in environmental protection. Participation is crucial, and it is essential to mobilize young people to actively engage in this process, just as in many past environmental activities, such as afforestation. However, all participants must understand that this is not aimed at achieving a subjective short-term goal. Instead, it is a sincere desire to improve the environment of local areas and the nation through long-term efforts. This is not an "emergency measure" but a long and arduous journey. On this path, people work together for a better future, benefiting immensely from it.
