Mozart Piano Sonata Collection

Author: (Austria) Mozart
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2005-04-01
Features: The Robert Teichmüller edition of Mozart's Piano Sonatas is compiled based on the definitive edition of Mozart's Piano Sonatas and Fantasy by Breitkopf & H?rtel, published at the request of the Berlin Academy of Arts. However, there are two exceptions: No. 18 and No. 19. The former is taken from the Complete Works of Mozart, while the latter is from the old version of Breitkopf & H?rtel from 1828. The editor has added fingerings to this version and provides clear explanations for the markings regarding expression, phrasing, tempo, performance style, and technique. All markings that appear in the definitive edition by Breitkopf & H?rtel will be indicated in larger font in this book. For performance methods of similar ornamental notes within the same sonata, only one annotation is provided, located at the point where the ornamental note appears second time in the piece. Short appoggiaturas presented in the form of sixteenth or thirty-second notes in the definitive edition will be introduced with their current playing method in this book.
