Features: Wang Xizhi (321–379, or 303–361), styled Yishao, was a native of Linyi, Langye (now part of Shandong), Eastern Jin Dynasty. He was born into a prominent aristocratic family and was the nephew of Wang Dao, a political figure of the Eastern Jin. He served as the Right Military General and the Interior Minister of Kuaiji, hence known as [Wang Right Military]. In his early years, he studied calligraphy under Wei Fen, later drawing inspiration from the calligraphy of previous masters, absorbing various styles, and excelling in all forms. [Commentators praised his brushwork, describing it as "floating like clouds and swift as startled dragons"]. He was one of the most outstanding calligraphers in ancient China, and his calligraphic art had a profound influence. Among calligraphers, few could compare to him, earning him the title [Sage of Calligraphy]. Wang Xianzhi (344–386), styled Zijing, was the seventh son of Wang Xizhi and served as the Imperial Secretary. He was known as [Wang Grand Secretary]. From a young age, he studied calligraphy under his father, Wang Xizhi, and also learned from Zhang Zhi. He mastered all calligraphic styles, particularly running and cursive scripts. His brushwork was bold and vigorous, full of, and he was renowned in calligraphic history alongside his father, Wang Xizhi, as the [Two Wangs]. This book includes Wang Xizhi's [He Ru], [Er Xie], [Pin You Ai Huo], [You Xuan], [Han Qie], [Kong Dai Zhong], [Ping An], [Yuan Hun], [Feng Ju], [Kuai Xue Shi Qing], [De Shi], [You Mu], [Chu Yue], [Yi Mu], [Xing Rang] etc., as well as Wang Xianzhi's [Zhong Qiu], [Han Shi], [29th Day], [Da Tou Wan], [Di Huang Tang], [Ci Sima], [Long Bao], [Yi Min], [Xue Ji Ning Han], [Fu Shi], [Zhi Zuxia], [Zhan Jin] etc. Most of these works are copies or collected pieces, except for Wang Xizhi's [Kuai Xue Shi Qing], which is an original and extremely precious.
