Features: Huang Tingjian (1045–1105), styled Luzhi, styled Shanshan Daoren, styled Foweng, was a native of Fengzhou Fennin (now Xiushui, Jiangxi). Huang was exceptionally talented, excelling in poetry and prose, and was the founder of the "Jiangxi Poetry School." In his later years, he developed his own unique style characterized by tight central structure and expansive periphery. Together with Su Shi, Mi Fu, and Cai Xiang, he was posthumously honored as one of the "Four Masters of the Song Dynasty." The Scroll of Poems from Songfeng Pavilion, ink on paper, 40 cm high, 22.87 cm long, comprises twenty-nine lines and 153 characters, depicting a seven-character ancient poem praising the Songfeng Pavilion in Wuchang. Written in the summer of 1102 (Lunar Calendar), it is now preserved in the Palace Museum, Taipei. The calligraphy throughout is elegant and spirited, with vigorous and unrestrained brushwork, making it one of Huang's most renowned late-period cursive works. The Scroll of Li Bai's Poem on Nostalgic Wanderings, ink on long scroll, with the beginning damaged and missing eighty characters at the start, without inscription. The entire scroll's script is entirely derived from Huai Su's style, with dynamic and unrestrained brushwork, making it a fine example of Huang's cursive script. The original is now preserved in Japan. The Postscript on the Fragrance of Flowers, ink on paper, with five lines and twenty-eight characters, without inscription. The postscript features spontaneous and unrestrained brushwork, deviating from his usual rigorous central-line technique, blending the graceful curves of cursive script, and holding great artistic value. It is now preserved in the Palace Museum, Taipei.
