Is a child's heart rate of 100 normal?

Patient's question:

Current heart rate is 100 beats per minute. Am I worried about any problems? But currently, there is no obvious discomfort. What kind of check-up do I need to do?

Doctor's answer:

I don't know how old your child is. Normal human pulse rate: males 60-100 times per minute, females 70-90 times per minute, children 90 times per minute, newborns 140 times per minute. Normal human respiratory rate 140 times per minute: children 16-18 times per minute, heart rate slightly high. Do you have any other discomforts? If necessary, you can take your child to the hospital.
