Features: Jiang Shangqing was born into a scholarly and patriotic family. He was naturally intelligent, diligent, and passionate, possessing a profound cultural heritage. Politically, he was a pioneer fighter who relentlessly pursued the path of saving the nation and its people, striving for the cause. During his revolutionary activities in Shanghai, he met left-wing writers such as Yu Dafu and was influenced by them, leading him to write numerous vernacular poems such as Celebrations for a New World, Flags at the End of October, Revelations from Blood, and Marching Hymn. He also composed a large volume of classical poetry documenting his revolutionary practices. These poems, whether commenting on the political climate, expressing revolutionary fervor, or recording family, friendship, and love, exhibit strong ideological depth and high artistic quality. They vividly reflect Jiang Shangqing's rich inner world and noble character, serving as a living textbook for patriotism education, revolutionary tradition education, and family moral education. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 90th anniversary of Jiang Shangqing's birth, Comrade Zheng Huisheng of the National History Society and the soldier calligrapher Zhou Xia collaborated to compile and transcribe Poems of Jiang Shangqing the Martyr, published by Contemporary China Publishing House.
