Features: The book "The Story of Condoleezza Rice" written by renowned author Antonia Felix was launched in the United States, causing a sensation at once. This is a comprehensive introduction to Rice's family background, upbringing, education, and political career. Author Antonia Felix conducted interviews with many of Rice's relatives, colleagues, friends, and teachers, and selected excerpts from dozens of reports and articles to present us with this biography of this extraordinary American woman. It portrays a composed, elegant, deeply loyal, devoutly religious, and passionate woman who loves music, football, and Russia. The book also gives us a deeper understanding and insight into the inner workings of the White House. In 1965, at the age of 11, Rice accompanied her parents to the capital, Washington, D.C. They walked along Pennsylvania Avenue and, later, stopped in front of the White House gates because of their race, they were not allowed to enter. They lingered in front of the magnificent building for a long time, and then, Rice turned around and calmly told her father, "I am not allowed to enter because of my race, but one day, I will be in that room." Twenty-five years later, Rice fulfilled her dream and entered the White House as President George H.W. Bush's chief Soviet affairs advisor. And now, more than 30 years later, Rice has become a trusted advisor to President Bush, the first female National Security Advisor in the White House, and may even hold the presidency in the future. When writing this book, the author primarily wanted to tell the story of Rice's family, childhood, education, and career, without delving too deeply into her political views. She aimed to paint a portrait of this woman who might have the most influence on the president: in a field dominated by white men, she is a Black woman who has risen to a high-ranking position, having experienced both the darkest and brightest moments in American history. As an Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs and a trusted aide to President George W. Bush, she is one of the most influential women in U.S. government history and possibly one of the most famous Black women in the world. She has had an extraordinary life, serving as a scholar, professor, provost, and foreign policy advisor. She has walked through Birmingham, Alabama; Denver, Colorado; and Palo Alto, California, before entering the White House at the age of 47. Her remarkable journey serves as an inspiration to people with different political views.
