Features: "Listen to the turbid waves outside the golden cinders, as heroes are washed away by this sound." When mentioning Yue Fei, a wave of horse hooves and beacons of war immediately surge before our eyes, followed by a vast expanse of blood, spreading like the sky, spreading endlessly. Yue Fei and Qin Hui is Gao Guang's fourth historical novel. In the passionate and resentful words of the author, the hero is reborn from the flames and shines again. The Yue Fei depicted by the writer is a rare and profound voice, singing with passion, blameless and unwavering, daring to cast his head aside for the sake of the nation and its people. When he bears the weight of humiliation and retires to the countryside, he willingly lives in poverty with empty sleeves. This immense personal strength not only moves loyal ministers and scholars like Liang Hongyu and Han Shizhong to wholeheartedly serve the country but also makes treacherous officials sigh in envy and weep in secret, even feeling lifelong shame for their own petty and stubborn nature. The man who sent Yue Fei to the executioner's block was Qin Hui, the greatest traitor of the Southern Song Dynasty. This court minister was exceptionally clever and cunning, silent in his killings, treating the empire of the Great Song as a chess piece, manipulating it at will. What is chilling is that his sinister and treacherous nature made every action of his seem so rational, so effortless, that even before executing Yue Fei, he had already thought of how to clear his name. The death of Yue Fei was a disgrace to the Southern Song Dynasty and a disgrace to Chinese history. Yet the blood he shed was enough to illuminate history, the nation, and the heart of a people.
