Features: The Crescent Moon is often on my desk. Even now, I still open it to read from time to time. The Crescent Moon is a book written for children. Perhaps it was because of the hint of "Children's Poems" (ChildPoems) in the advertising notes. In reality, although The Crescent Moon contains a few poems that children can understand, Tagore did not write these poems specifically for children. It is not a poetry collection written for children, but rather the best collection that depicts children's psychology and lives. This is similar to how many Russian folk novelists wrote folk novels—not for the masses, but as works that portray the lives of the people. If we recognize this point, we will not unnecessarily arouse any doubts or disputes. The Crescent Moon also possesses this unpredictable magic. It takes us from the world of adults full of suspicion and greed to the tender and innocent land of children's crescent moon. We are busy with numbers, yet it can bring us back to the time of sitting in the mud, playing with dry twigs and broken branches. We are busy searching for pearls in the sea or digging for gold, yet it can take us back in our minds to the dreams of children at the seaside, using shells as utensils, leaves as boats, and dewdrops on green grass as pearls.
