Features: This book faithfully reflects the entire rescue process of the "11·24" major maritime disaster. The disaster is unfortunate, but in the face of it, the high sense of responsibility demonstrated by the Party Central Committee, the State Council, and our various Party committees and governments at all levels, the spirit of mutual support from our cadres and the people when one is in trouble, and the spirit of the people's army that puts the interests of the people above all, are commendable and should be promoted. The book objectively analyzes the deep-seated causes of the "11·24" major maritime disaster. This event was a combination of natural disasters—such as severe weather and sea conditions—as well as human errors, including loopholes in management and a disregard for people's lives and property behind the accident. If we can truly learn from the lessons as the book hopes, then disaster can also be a form of wealth, serving as a warning to us not to ignore safety, not to take life lightly, and not to repeat the same mistakes.
