Dracula's Kiss tells the story of Jonathan Harker, a young lawyer from London, who is sent on a business trip to Transylvania in remote Eastern Europe. This is because Count Dracula wants to buy a property in London, and Jonathan is responsible for handling the related procedures. During the journey, Jonathan discovers various strange and ominous signs. At the Borgo Pass, he is taken by a mysterious black-coated carriage driver to the eerie and terrifying Dracula's Castle. Here, he is greeted by the horrifyingly ugly Count Dracula. At first, the count's generous hospitality dispels his suspicions, but soon he realizes there are many suspicious places in the castle and that he has been trapped inside. It seems the count is plotting some kind of conspiracy. To escape, Jonathan climbs over the castle wall into the count's room and discovers fifty boxes filled with soil in the basement of the room. Inside one of the boxes lies the count himself, and later, these boxes, along with the count, are transported to London. Subsequently, a series of strange, bizarre, and terrifying events unfold, leading us to follow the footsteps of Jonathan Harker, step into Dracula's castle, and get closer to Count Dracula.
On the European continent, since the dawn of recorded history, the legend of vampires has been born. Among the many monsters from the West, the vampire may be the one most frequently recorded and most charming. The aristocratic demeanor and chilling allure of vampires have attracted countless people to study them. Vampires are an ancient and mysterious race. They have no heartbeat, no pulse, no breathing, and no body temperature. They are immortal. Yet, they possess their own thoughts, they think, they talk, they move around, and they can even be injured and die. Their strength far surpasses that of ordinary humans, and they possess extraordinary abilities that ordinary people cannot attain. Some ancient vampires even possess powers that can rival the gods. In the face of these vampires, humans are utterly defenseless.
After the Middle Ages, with the rise of Romanticism, vampires were imbued with rich sexual and sensual connotations due to their unique way of existence. This is also the embodiment of the mysterious charm of vampires. The complex and contradictory psychology of humans, born from their fear of the unknown and death and their longing for eternal life, has been the source of many legends since ancient times.
