Of course, the selection list reflects the author's views, but overall, I believe the weapons described in the book are carefully chosen, including the best and most famous weapons in the military history of the 20th century. Those newly renowned weapons may still need about 50 years of reassessment, as they are too young to have established their reputation on the battlefield. However, the new elites selected in this book also have sufficient reasons to be included in terms of their technological innovation and widespread use. These new elites include: the mini-machine gun, the AUG and G11 assault rifles, as well as the Beretta and SIG pistols. Therefore, the new generation that will gain permanent prestige in the future is almost impossible to be omitted from the current selection list.
