Features: In recent years, the enthusiasm for learning Japanese in China has been on the rise. Statistics show that there are now millions of Japanese learners, and tens of thousands of Japanese teachers, making the scale quite substantial. On the other hand, with the continuous improvement of Japanese teaching standards in China, the increasing number of high-level Japanese talents trained domestically, and the return of many study-abroad graduates who have achieved success, a group of highly qualified and skilled Japanese researchers has begun to take shape. Chinese Japanese studies have made significant progress compared to previous years. This is mainly reflected in the fact that the previous one-sided imitation and blind following of Japanese scholars' research have been greatly improved, and some original studies that are capable of establishing their own perspectives have begun to emerge. This notable change has also attracted attention from the Japanese academic community. However, at present, it is still impossible to fully reflect the new achievements of Chinese Japanese studies through a specialized collection of essays.
