Features: With the passage of time, when General Zhang Xueliang began his life of house arrest, he was moved from Xikou, Fenghua, Zhejiang, to Huangshan, Anhui, Pingxiang, Jiangxi, Chenzhou, Hunan, Yuanling, western Hunan, Xiushu and Tongzi, Guiyang Qilindong, Xinzhu, Taiwan, and finally to Taipei, losing his freedom for 50 years. My father was first detained in Nanchang, Jiangxi, then moved to Yiyang, Hunan, Xuantian Cave in Xifeng, Guizhou, Yangjia Mountain in Chongqing, Qilindong in Guiyang, where he suffered immense torture. Eventually, the entire family was deceived to Chongqing's Songlin "Dai Gong Temple," where they were brutally murdered. Over 60 years of history have proven: this is not only the tragedy of Generals Zhang Xueliang and Yang Huicheng but also the tragedy of Chinese politics as a whole. Fortunately, their personal tragedies advanced the course of Chinese history and brought the nationwide resistance against Japan forward. "Things come to pass, and the past becomes history." On the 70th anniversary of the "Xi'an Incident," how many are still alive? Recording these past events is also so that my children may know the hardships their ancestors endured!
