Author: (Qing) Chen Xiuyuan
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 1998-05-01
Features: This book is based on the edition of the "Jin Gui Fang Ge Hua" published by Hunan Yi Yuan Book Bureau in the 29th year of the Guangxu reign (guimao) of the Qing Dynasty. The titles and the order of the prescriptions strictly follow the original text. At the beginning of each chapter, there is a [Introduction] that briefly introduces the concept, scope, and main content of the disease discussed in that chapter. Below each prescription, the following items are listed in order: [Original Text], [Annotations], [Explanations], [Remarks], etc. Prescriptions that are repeated in both the "Jin Gui" and the "Shang Han Lun," which originally did not have a song poem, are marked below with "Prescription see 'Shang Han Lun'" or "See 'Changsha Fang Ge Hua.'" To maintain the completeness of this book, prescriptions from "Changsha Fang Ge Hua" were selected and added in the text, totaling over 40 prescriptions. The repeated prescriptions in this book still follow the original order, with a special note in the [Original Text] section reading "Song poem see." The [Original Text] section has been appropriately punctuated and sentence-divided. Based on relevant reference materials, some obvious errors have been corrected. To adapt to modern reading habits, the original vertical layout has been changed to horizontal. As a result, the original text "You Mo Wei" after the prescription has been changed to "Shang Mo Wei." For the convenience of self-study and beginners, all traditional characters in the original text have been converted to simplified characters. Some rare variant characters in the original text have been replaced with common characters. The original text is organized by chapters of the "Jin Gui," which seems unnecessary to divide into volumes, so the volume numbers have been removed. The original "Preface," "Introduction," and "Postscript" are unrelated to the "Jin Gui" prescriptions and have been omitted. At the end of the book, supplementary materials such as "Changsha Fang Ge Hua," the dosage of Zhong Ying prescriptions, and a prescription index are included for reference.
