Publishing Date: 2004-01-01
Features: This atlas marks and introduces 430 human acupoints, including all 361 meridian points of the 14 meridians and 69 commonly used, clinically proven extraordinary points outside the meridians. The locations of the acupoints are primarily based on the "International Standard Acupuncture Point Names" published by WHO in 1991. For acupoints such as extraordinary points not included in the "International Standard Acupuncture Point Names," other literature and the 5th edition of the textbook "Acupoint Science" were referenced to ensure the accuracy of every marked acupoint. Additionally, it is worth noting that the 361 meridian points shown in the atlas are not connected by the surface course lines of the respective meridians. More accurately, these differently colored lines should be referred to as meridian point connection lines. Unlike the winding, interconnected, and highly branched surface course lines of the meridians, these lines can more clearly and distinctly indicate the meridian affiliation of each point, while also relatively clearly showing the general course direction of the 14 meridians. Practical experience has proven that this method of marking meridian points is beneficial for learning and use.
