Features: The College English Test Band 4 (CET-4) is undergoing a transformation. In terms of the exam paper, the core of this change lies in the two major sections: Listening and Reading. A close study of the new CET-4 exam paper and the examination guidelines reveals that the combined score of Listening and Reading accounts for 498 points, taking up 70% of the total. The listening section's weight has nearly doubled compared to the traditional CET-4, while the reading section has almost entirely been revamped. For examinees, even minor changes in a major exam will draw their attention and alert them. Scores, scores, scores—the lifeblood of students! While the principles may sound lofty, who is responsible if the exam isn't passed? Setting aside the relationship between CET-4 scores and graduation certificates or degree certificates, the widespread attention the society's employers give to CET-4 makes it imperative for examinees to pay it tenfold, a hundredfold, or even a thousandfold more importance. New CET-4 Listening for 249 Points firmly grasps the spirit of the new CET-4 exam, analyzing and predicting the trends of the new four combined listening formats (Short Conversations, Long Conversations, Short Passage Comprehension, and Compound Dictation). It systematically elaborates and provides detailed introductions to the strategies and techniques for each type of question. After the trend analysis and strategy introductions, it selects 18 brand-new listening comprehension combination practice tests in line with the requirements of the new CET-4 exam. These 18 tests are similar in format, volume, and difficulty to the new CET-4 exam. Each practice test is followed by an answer quick-reference table and detailed solutions to help examinees evaluate their learning progress.
