Features: The "University Physical Education Series Curriculum" initiated by Hefei University of Technology was awarded as one of the first key construction courses in Anhui Province by the Anhui Provincial Department of Education in 1999. That same year, our university was honored as an outstanding higher education institution in Anhui and nationally for implementing the "Regulations on School Physical Education Work." Subsequently, our Physical Education Department took on the task of developing the "University Physical Education Series Curriculum" and conducted more than two years of rigorous research and scientific deliberation, achieving positive results. Building on this foundation, we summarized the achievements of the "University Physical Education Series Curriculum" in theory, aligning with the spirit and requirements of the "National Guidelines for Teaching and Instruction in Physical Education Courses in Higher Education Institutions," and incorporating the teaching practices of numerous renowned professors and core teaching staff. This led to the creation of this series of university physical education textbooks, aimed at helping students better master fundamental and specialized theoretical knowledge in physical education, enhance their physical awareness and athletic abilities, and acquire scientific methods and techniques for exercising, thereby providing theoretical guidance for students' conscious fitness efforts.
This series of textbooks is designed with lifelong education as its goal, featuring ideological depth, theoretical rigor, scientific accuracy, practicality, and timeliness. Its content is concise, presented in an accessible and engaging manner, and supplemented with illustrations, aiding in the establishment and reinforcement of lifelong learning values among students. The series consists of books such as "University Physical Education Fundamentals," "Football," "Volleyball," "Basketball," "Handball," "Table Tennis," "Tennis," "Aesthetics," "Martial Arts," "Sports Dance," "Physical Aesthetics," and "Track and Field." The publication of this series of physical education textbooks will facilitate the fulfillment of the objectives and tasks of physical education teaching in general higher education institutions, catering to students of varying levels and interests, and serving as a valuable resource for sports enthusiasts.
