Features: The National College Japanese Major Level 4 Examination was first implemented nationwide in 2002 according to the "Teaching Syllabus for the Basic Stage of Japanese Majors in Higher Education" issued by the Ministry of Education. As the exam is still in its early stages, many candidates feel a lack of corresponding reference materials. To address this, we have compiled the book "College Japanese Major Level 4—Practical Exercises in Characters, Vocabulary, and Grammar." This book is guided by the "Teaching Syllabus for the Basic Stage of Japanese Majors in Higher Education" and the "College Japanese Major Level 4 Examination Syllabus," combining the results of the previous two professional level 4 exams and actual teaching practices. It aims to improve students' comprehensive Japanese practical abilities under the premise that the exam format remains largely consistent. For reading comprehension and writing practice, please refer to our book "College Japanese Major Level 4—Practical Exercises in Reading Comprehension and Writing." The book "College Japanese Major Level 4—Practical Exercises in Characters, Vocabulary, and Grammar" primarily features multiple-choice questions and includes an answer key at the end. During the compilation process, we collected and referenced a large amount of latest domestic and international information and materials. Its difficulty level is roughly equivalent to the International Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2, or between Level 2 and Level 1. Its features not only provide assistance to college students preparing for the professional level 4 exam but also effectively help other Japanese learners improve their practical abilities. At the end of this book, we have included the actual exam questions from the 2002 Japanese Major Level 4 Examination in the characters-vocabulary-grammar section to further enhance readers' understanding of the exam. During the compilation of this book, we received enthusiastic guidance and support from Japanese experts teaching in Tianjin. Ms. Zhang Hua of Nankai University Press provided significant assistance in the publication of this book, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to her. Due to the urgency of the timeline and our limited capabilities, errors and omissions may inevitably exist. We sincerely invite experts and readers to point them out for correction.
