Features: This book is a conversation course textbook for second-year Japanese majors in higher education institutions. Referencing the teaching syllabus requirements, it includes two parts: situational dialogues and colloquial expressions for specific daily scenarios. Each lesson provides learners with two situational conversation materials. Each lesson is accompanied by word annotations, translations of dialogues and colloquial expressions, and exercises. Starting from daily greetings, the book is structured progressively according to grammatical rules, covering conversational scenarios and common expressions in daily life, interpersonal relationships, and situations involving joy, sorrow, anger, and happiness. The guiding principle followed by the authors is to make this book suitable as a textbook for Japanese conversation courses for enrolled students, as well as for self-learners or enrolled students who wish to use their spare time for self-study to improve oral proficiency. It aims to help learners master the characteristics, colloquial usage, and appropriate vocabulary for conversations in specific scenarios, thereby enhancing their oral adaptability and conversational skills. Moreover, the book features short and easy-to-understand lessons, convenient memorization, comprehensive situational dialogues, and is designed to help learners grasp the conversational characteristics of daily life, study, and emotions, deepen their understanding, and expand their knowledge of Japanese.
Additionally, after each lesson, there are explanations of the sentence patterns and key points used, with example sentences provided along with translations. It is compatible with other textbooks in the series, making it easy to combine for study. As a Japanese conversation and oral skills textbook, the book consists of 36 lessons, covering 72 dialogues and colloquial expressions in various scenarios, with approximately 600 vocabulary words and 40 sentence patterns. An index of sentence patterns, a vocabulary list, and reference answers are included at the end. If studied at a pace of two hours per lesson per week, and assuming an academic semester of 18 weeks, this book can be used as a one-year Japanese conversation course textbook. Furthermore, based on the situational dialogues in each lesson, the book provides additional time and space for teachers to guide students in imagining, expanding, and deeply practicing the scenarios. This allows learners to reinforce their understanding through repeated practice and master the features of conversation.
