Features: Given the rapid development of economic and trade conditions in China after joining the WTO, based on over a decade of teaching experience, we have compiled this "Newly Edited Practical Japanese for International Business." Our guiding principle is to focus on both fundamental knowledge of international business and Japanese language skills, enabling students to gain familiarity and mastery after studying this textbook.
In terms of basic knowledge of international business, we center on Japan's import and export activities. Starting with an introduction to the relevant regulations for Japan's imports and exports, we proceed in accordance with the workflow of import and export transactions, sequentially explaining key professional knowledge in international business activities such as: identifying clients, credit investigation, trade terms, pre-contract processes, contract document examples, maritime transportation, bills of lading, customs declaration, shipment, marine insurance, foreign exchange and exchange rates, payment methods, letters of credit, intermediary trade, export of complete sets of equipment, and claims. The content is designed to be comprehensive, systematic, and scientific, with language that is easy to understand. The materials are kept fresh, practical, and up-to-date with the times.
In terms of Japanese language knowledge, in addition to explaining the grammar and sentence patterns that appear in the text, we also provide word annotations and include reference translations for each lesson. To reinforce the content of each lesson, we have selected various exercises centered around the text, and answers are provided at the end of the book, along with a comprehensive mock test. This textbook can be used for classroom instruction or for self-study by professionals. It is suitable for students majoring in international trade at universities and colleges (including self-study candidates for higher education) as well as for avid Japanese learners.
For classroom use, it is advisable to use it as a professional textbook or for extensive reading. From the perspective of professional studies and language training, it should be paired with foreign trade correspondence (in Japanese or Japanese-English parallel) and foreign trade conversation to form a complementary whole.
