Zhangjiajie has a pleasant climate, belonging to the subtropical monsoon humid climate of the middle Asian temperate zone. The average annual temperature is 16.8°C, with the warmest month (August) averaging 27°C. The abundant rainfall creates a landscape of ever-changing scenery. Surrounding the core scenic area of Wulingyuan, there are rich natural and cultural landscapes. Among them, the Loushang Scenic Area boasts beautiful scenery and unique karst caves. The Loushang Rafting adventure will fill you with excitement.
Additionally, these scenic areas are home to ethnic minorities such as the Tujia, Bai, and Miao, who each have their own customs, traditions, and habits. The Tujia's Shuaier Dance and Maogusi Dance, the Bai's Zhanggu Dance, and the Miao's Jielong Dance, as well as the multi-ethnic Nuo Opera and Flower Lantern performances, all retain distinct traditional characteristics. The colorful folk customs and the breathtaking natural scenery complement each other, leaving visitors spellbound.
