Features: Pulmonary hypertension is characterized by complex etiology, high incidence rate, high rate of misdiagnosis, and strong harmfulness. The Third World Conference on Pulmonary Hypertension classified pulmonary hypertension into more than 30 types. This book was co-authored by physicians and patient members of the American Pulmonary Hypertension Association and has been updated to its 3rd edition, becoming an important tool for the prevention and treatment of pulmonary hypertension in developed countries in Europe and America. The book covers the etiology, clinical symptoms, signs, various clinical examinations, basic treatment, medical drug therapy, and surgical treatment of pulmonary hypertension, as well as psychological care, nutritional therapy, daily life precautions, and pulmonary hypertension in children. At the end of the book, there is an appendix on iloprost crisis and a glossary of commonly used drug terms. The book comprehensively discusses the professional and life knowledge beneficial to the recovery of pulmonary hypertension patients, including both professional treatment by medical doctors and personal experiences and vivid images from patients. The book was translated by a group of young and middle-aged cardiovascular physicians from the Fuwai Cardiovascular Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The chief editor is Professor Hu Dayi of the Shanghai Tongji University School of Medicine, who has made significant contributions to the development of pulmonary hypertension and cardiovascular diseases in China. They have specifically established a professional website: www.phachna.com, which has become the first purely charitable online diagnosis and treatment center for pulmonary hypertension and venous thrombosis in China, as well as the only Chinese training center recognized by the American Pulmonary Hypertension Association. This book can be used for self-education by pulmonary hypertension patients, as well as for professional medical education for community physicians, cardiologists, pulmonologists, and immunologists who frequently encounter pulmonary hypertension patients.
