Features: The characteristic of hospice care is to replace "Cure" (treatment) with "Care" (nursing and compassion). Therefore, in terms of healthcare resource consumption, such as expensive medications, it should be low. Apart from the necessary control of symptoms like pain, almost no medical expenses should be incurred. However, some hospice care institutions, driven by the pursuit of economic benefits, still provide terminally ill patients with unnecessary (ineffective) treatments and medications, adopting high-consumption, high-investment "life-prolonging treatments." This waste of healthcare resources is unnecessary and contradicts the original purpose of hospice care.
