Features: With the development of China's healthcare system, the overall incidence of infectious diseases has declined, but some infectious diseases, such as viral hepatitis, still remain at high levels. In recent years, new infectious diseases have emerged one after another, such as SARS and avian influenza. The number of people infected with and diagnosed with HIV in China has entered a rapid growth phase. Therefore, the prevention and control of infectious diseases remain severe. This year, China promulgated the newly revised "Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases," and Jiangsu Province established the Center for Quality Control of Infectious Disease Medical Treatment. The diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases have entered an era of legalization and standardization. To strengthen the basic management of infectious disease hospitals and departments and enhance the "Three Basics" training, we have organized relevant experts to compile this "Guidance for Three Basics Training of Medical Personnel in Medical Institutions (Infectious Diseases Department)," as a reference book for "Three Basics" training and examination assessments in various infectious disease hospitals and departments at all levels.
