Features: This book is the third volume in the series of Japanese textbooks for Japanese majors in colleges and universities, based on the "Teaching Syllabus for the Basic Stage of Japanese Majors in Higher Education" issued by the Ministry of Education. It is intended for use in the second semester. Since the publication of the first and second volumes of "Basic Japanese Course," they have won the First Prize in Teaching Achievements at Beijing Second Foreign Languages University and the First Prize in Teaching Achievements of Beijing Municipality. The writing of the third and fourth volumes was approved by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and included in the "Philosophical and Social Sciences Planning of Beijing Municipality for 2000 · Beijing Municipal Education Commission Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program," and research funding was provided. In the face of honors, the writing team felt even more acutely the weight of their responsibilities. They carefully summarized the experiences and lessons learned from the writing of the first and second volumes, drew on the strengths of similar institutions domestically and excellent foreign textbooks, conducted further research, and made every effort to write a high-quality textbook that reflects the spirit of the times, looks toward the future, combines the teaching of basic language knowledge with the enhancement of moral and cultural qualities, emphasizes the practical ability of students to use the language, and is conducive to cultivating new talents that meet the demands of the era. After more than two years of hard work, the third volume has finally been published. The entire book consists of 16 lessons, with a total teaching time of approximately 160 hours. Each lesson includes seven components. The book introduces 149 sentence patterns. For some difficult yet frequently used vocabulary, culturally specific Japanese vocabulary, words that are easily misused or have similar meanings but different usage, and sometimes even significantly different usage, explanations, summaries, or comparisons are provided, noting usage differences and precautions to facilitate correct mastery and application.
