Publishing Date: 2001-11-01
Features: From the remaining bamboo slips, it can be inferred that the bamboo slips were originally stored in bamboo boxes. Due to compression from silt and other artifacts, the slips have suffered damage, the bundles have disintegrated, and there has been varying degrees of displacement. Based on the accumulation of the slips, it can be determined that the various books were rolled individually and then stacked together. This book includes all the bamboo slips unearthed from the Zhangjiashan No. 247 Han Tomb in Jiangling, Hubei, divided into two parts: illustrations, text, and annotations. The content of the slips consists of Han Dynasty classics, including eight types such as "Lishu" (Calendar), "Erniu Luli" (Laws of the Second Year), "Zongyan Shu" (Cases and Arguments), "Manshu" (Pulse Book), "Suanshu Shu" (Mathematics Book), "Gailu" (Gailu), "Yinshu" (Yin Book), and "Qiance" (Burial Instructions). These cover various aspects of Han Dynasty law, military, calendar, medicine, and science, making them of high academic value. Notably, the "Suanshu Shu" included is an ancient mathematical manuscript predating the "Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art."
