This book is compiled based on the 2004 edition's exam criteria of the Japan Foundation, providing detailed Han-Japanese bilingual definitions for Japanese vocabulary. It also categorizes and summarizes easily confused words, multiple-sound words, multiple-meaning words, set phrases, honorific language, and onomatopoeia/mimetic words according to the characteristics of Japanese exams, and is equipped with a wealth of practice questions and full-length simulation tests, making it particularly suitable for candidates.
In the writing format, considering the characteristics and difficulties of Chinese learners of Japanese, in addition to character and vocabulary explanations, we arrange all Level 1 and Level 2 vocabulary in the order of the Japanese 50-kana chart and divide the exercises into 33 units based on the quantity of content for readers to study and consolidate. During the writing process, we noticed that candidates often overlook or confuse certain character pronunciations and words with easily mistaken meanings and usages. Therefore, we specifically designed unit exercises in the format of test questions and types in each unit, adding self-assessment scores to each question to help readers evaluate their learning progress.
At the end of the book, we have also included sections such as "Homophones," "Synonyms," "Homophones with Different Meanings," "Difficult-to-Read Words," "Set Phrases," and "Honorific Language," categorizing and listing all Level 1 and Level 2 vocabulary systematically to facilitate readers' review and self-assessment after completing the book. This book is an indispensable text and vocabulary review resource for candidates preparing for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and can also serve as a teaching material for teachers to provide pre-exam guidance to students.
