Features: The Republic of Mali, an inland country in West Africa, is one of the ancient civilizations of Africa with a long history. During the Middle Ages, it was the center of empires such as Ghana, Mali, and Songhai. The Dagon Plateau, located in the inland delta of the Niger River, is a rare Danxia landform wonder in the world. The Dagon people, who have lived here for generations, have accumulated the renowned Dagon culture, making it a "dual" human heritage combining both nature and culture. After breaking free from foreign colonial rule, Mali established a republic in 1960. Since independence, the country has maintained relatively stable domestic politics and adopted a flexible and pragmatic foreign policy, receiving substantial aid from both Eastern and Western countries. Its economy and society have developed steadily. However, due to a weak economic foundation and heavy foreign debt, Mali remains one of the least developed countries in the world.
