Features: With the development of economic and cultural exchanges between China and South Korea, more and more people are learning Korean (Chos?n'g?l). In recent years, both university and college Korean language teaching, as well as self-study Korean language teaching, have seen rapid growth, with expanding teaching scales and an increasing number of learners. The demand for various Korean language textbooks has grown significantly. However, the development of textbooks, especially those suitable for self-study Korean learners, has lagged far behind the needs. Therefore, actively compiling various types of Korean language textbooks has become an urgent task for those engaged in Korean language teaching. Based on this understanding, we have recently compiled a series of Korean language textbooks for learners starting from zero, including university and college students as well as self-study learners. This has alleviated the shortage of textbooks to some extent. This textbook is designed to improve reading and writing skills and is suitable for learners who have completed "Intermediate Korean." The textbook consists of six units, with the first unit covering basic writing knowledge and the sixth unit focusing on practical writing. The second, third, fourth, and fifth units each include 16 reading texts, each accompanied by reading prompts and post-lesson exercises, which not only aid in understanding the content but also reinforce the writing knowledge learned. To facilitate self-study, a vocabulary list and reference answers to each lesson's exercises are provided at the end.
