Learn with Me (Volume 1) = FOLLOW ME

Author: Writing Group of "Follow Me"
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-01-01
Features: The revised "Follow Me" retains many advantages of the original version. First, it still consists of 60 episodes, covering 60 themes and including 10 common language functions in daily life. Every 10 lessons focus on previously learned language functions, allowing learners to review and learn new knowledge. Second, it preserves the original sitcoms filmed by the BBC Radio Company's "Follow Me" production team. The vivid and humorous performances fully reflect the humor of the British, combined with authentic British pronunciation, offering a true audio-visual enjoyment. Third, interspersed between the sitcoms are real-life dialogues and songs related to the language functions, facilitating learners in expanding their language knowledge. Fourth, in 40 of the episodes, we have inserted a documentary titled "Follow Me to Britain," introducing the local culture of the UK to learners and making them feel as if they are in Britain. Fifth, in the remaining 20 episodes, we have included four series of short dramas with thrilling plots and engaging stories.
The revised "Follow Me" also adds some new features. The 60 episodes of the video program are hosted by renowned host Yang Lan (first 30 episodes) and Kathy Flower of the BBC Radio Company (last 30 episodes), with more detailed and up-to-date explanations based on the original video program to meet the needs of current learners. Additionally, we have added two student roles in the revised "Follow Me," designing interactive pattern drills and speaking activities between teachers and students, thereby enhancing the interactivity and communicative nature of the program, which greatly benefits learners in improving their communicative skills.
The revised "Follow Me" is divided into two volumes, each accompanied by 10 VCDs, and is suitable for English learners at the beginner level. We hope the new "Follow Me" will bring a fresh experience and new gains to English learners.
