Features: The International Academic Symposium on the Wu Jians of the Three Kingdoms Period in Changsha and the Discovery and Research of Bamboo Slips over the Past Century was initially conceived in mid-summer of 1998. Starting from spring 2000, after more than a year of careful preparation, it successfully opened in Changsha, the birthplace of the Wu Jians, on the centennial of bamboo slip discovery. Over one hundred and seventy scholars and experts from home and abroad gathered in grand assembly to jointly explore the fruitful achievements in bamboo slip research, review the development of bamboo slip studies over the past century, and look forward to the bright prospects for the future development of bamboo slip studies in the new century. This was a very rare learning opportunity for us. This book contains some of the content of the International Academic Symposium on the Wu Jians of the Three Kingdoms Period in Changsha and the Discovery and Research of Bamboo Slips over the Past Century.
