Features: The book "IELTS Test Skills Training Course·Reading" has been published for over two years. In these two years, I have continued to engage in IELTS exam training, naturally paying attention to the various developments and changes in the exam. The IELTS course offered by the Department of Overseas Training at Beijing Language and Culture University is divided into listening, speaking, reading, and writing courses according to the several components of the exam. The course design and teaching content have been well-received by students. However, many people who cannot attend our training courses often ask whether there is a comprehensive textbook. This book consists of five chapters. The first chapter introduces relevant aspects of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam, while chapters two to five correspond to the listening, speaking, reading, and writing sections of the test, respectively. Each chapter begins by explaining the exam format and requirements for that section, then guides readers on how to prepare for the exam and what to pay attention to or avoid. Finally, it provides exercises. This book is tailored to the new types of questions in the IELTS exam, and its key feature is the combination of theory and practice. The explanations focus on guiding candidates to correctly understand the purpose and intent of the exam, helping them grasp the key areas of emphasis. The content of the explanations is the crystallization of the author's over ten years of IELTS training experience, including many valuable insights and lessons learned from past candidates. These are of practical value to the candidates.
