This book is one of the supplementary series to the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the Chinese Pharmacopoeia). The included formulations are designed to meet the needs of clinical medication across various disciplines. It adheres to the principle of "three coverages and one consideration," covering all formulations from the 2005 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (Volume I), the National Essential Medicines List, and the National Basic Medical Insurance and Work-related Injury Insurance Drug Catalogue, while also considering some protected TCM formulations. The book includes over 1,420 formulations in total.
The drugs listed in this book are first categorized by discipline, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Dermatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Rhinology, Laryngology, Stomatology, Orthopedics, and then sorted by efficacy. Each formulation is assigned a serial number in order. Under each drug entry, the information is systematically presented in the following order: (Chinese drug name), (Pinyin name), (drug composition), (function and indications), (formulation explanation), (clinical applications), (pharmacology and toxicology), (adverse reactions), (precautions), (dosage and administration), (specifications), and (references).
