Features: The purpose of this edition remains consistent with the previous version, primarily serving as a reference book for faculty and students of medical and pharmaceutical colleges, graduate students before and after enrollment in relevant fields, clinical physicians, pharmacists, and other medical and pharmaceutical professionals. The chemical structure of drugs is a fundamental reference in pharmacology and is often highly valued by readers. Previous editions consistently inserted some chemical structure formulas of drugs into the main text of each chapter, which seemed insufficient. However, inserting too many would dilute the main content. Therefore, in this edition, in addition to those that must be placed together with the discussion of structure-activity relationships in the main text, the chemical structure formulas of the 536 main drugs in this book are fully compiled and arranged in Chapter 81 in the order of each chapter. This appears to be an unprecedented attempt in current pharmacology reference books, both domestic and international. Furthermore, due to the increase in new drug varieties but limited, in many chapters, in addition to the detailed descriptions of main drugs, non-main drugs are simplified and listed separately after the entries of main drugs. Pharmacology is established on the foundation of disciplines such as pharmacology, chemistry, and physiology. Modern pharmacology further requires mutual reference and collaborative development with disciplines such as pharmaceutical chemistry, molecular biology, molecular pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, and pharmacotherapy. Therefore, in each chapter of this book, emphasis is naturally placed on the progress and elaboration in these aspects.
