Features: "The Essence of Beijing Cultural Relics · Stele Volume" is divided into six major categories based on the characteristics and value of Beijing steles: namely cliff carvings, inscribed stones, steles, epitaphs, inscribed Buddhist scriptures, and calligraphy collections. The descriptions are arranged in the same order. The arrangement method is to group by category and chronology. Within each category, they are listed in chronological order, with the earliest steles listed to reflect the completeness of related steles. Others are listed at the end. This volume covers a time span from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Republic of China. It includes 257 steles, 369 rubbings and photographs, each accompanied by a brief description. Only textual steles related to Beijing are included, with transmitted works not listed. The entries in this volume combine academic and artistic value, with an emphasis on selecting newly discovered items. Photos related to the steles are inserted as supplementary material to provide a more complete overall presentation.
