Features: The "Moonstone" (1868) by British author Wilkie Collins (1824–1889) is a mysterious story centered around a large diamond called "The Moonstone." It is composed of three parts: "The Diamond Theft," "The Truth Revealed," and "The Discovery of the Moonstone." The plot is intricate and captivating. It was once praised by the great poet and critic T.S. Eliot decades ago as "the greatest British detective novel," and even today, literary historians still recognize it as one of the finest detective novels in British literature. In 1799, British army officer Henry Finch stole the Moonstone from an Indian temple and, consumed by guilt, gave it as a birthday gift to his daughter, Rachel. However, the diamond vanished on her birthday night. Many people were suspected. The famous detective Keff came to solve the case, and Rachel confessed that she saw her lover Franklin take the diamond that night. But the real thief was Rachel's other suitor, Godfrey. After several twists and turns, the villains were punished, lovers reunited, and the diamond returned to the Indian temple.
