Features: The concept of "Traditional China" can be understood both vertically and horizontally. Vertically, in terms of time, it spans from the ancient Three Dynasties to the Han, Tang, Song, Yuan, and Qing dynasties, all within its scope. Horizontally, in terms of professional fields, it includes politics, economy, military, diplomacy, thought, culture, customs, religion, and more, encompassing everything. Even, given social systems and ideas placed within the category of "Traditional China" for research. It is evident that the study of "Traditional China" must have both breadth and depth, which is the characteristic and viewpoint of traditional Chinese studies. For thousands of years, people have read and understood tradition and inherited texts while the original or truth has been obscured or distorted for various reasons. To some extent, misunderstanding these traditions and inherited texts constitutes part of the real historical process.
