Features: This textbook is designed to accompany the Elementary Chinese Coursebook and provide listening exercises for beginners learning Chinese. Part 1 consists of exercises for students to use while listening to recordings and doing written practice. Oral exercises are not included in this part. Part 2 is the recording transcripts, which can be used as a teacher's manual and also contains reference answers for some exercises. Each lesson in this textbook generally includes several types of exercises, such as pronunciation practice, tone practice, word stress practice, sentence stress practice, selecting the correct answer after listening, and answering questions after listening. Some exercises are more challenging, and teachers can select or omit them based on students' abilities. The "dictation" section in the exercises aims to train students in distinguishing sounds and tones, and also lays the foundation for cultivating their Chinese recording skills in the future.
