Features: The Primary Chinese Listening Course consists of 55 lessons, with every 10 lessons forming a unit. Each unit is followed by a unit test, and the entire book is divided into 5 units. Each lesson is divided into two parts: text and choosing the correct answer.
Unit 1 focuses on training students' Chinese pinyin, pronunciation, and intonation. From Unit 2 to Unit 4, each lesson includes three listening texts, with the first two primarily in dialogue form and the last one in narrative form. The "choosing the correct answer" section references the first two parts of the HSK listening exam, with 10 practice questions for each lesson.
Unit 5 increases the length and difficulty of the texts. The text section is changed to two listening texts, mostly in narrative form. The "choosing the correct answer" section is expanded to 15 practice questions.
The text exercises mainly involve true-or-false judgment, multiple-choice questions, and answering questions, while also incorporating other forms to achieve a balance between consistency and variety, ensuring the material remains engaging and not monotonous.
Unit tests serve to reinforce and review the content of the unit, divided into three parts. The first two parts simulate the first two parts of the HSK listening exam to assess students' mastery of the unit's content. The third part includes a recording of corresponding difficulty with accompanying exercises, primarily focusing on training students' comprehensive listening comprehension skills.
To help students connect classroom language with real-life language, the recordings in this book are at normal conversational speed. Students who complete this book should be able to understand ordinary daily conversations in Chinese and express themselves in Chinese with greater fluency and accuracy.
