Features: This book is a grammar workbook for foreigners who wish to take the Chinese HSK () 9-11 level. It is based on the grammar syllabus for the Advanced Chinese Proficiency Test issued by the National Office for Chinese Language Education (), and incorporates the practical needs of foreign candidates. The book consists of four parts:
Part 1: Unit Explanations and Exercises
According to the grammar syllabus (Level D), grammar points are explained unit by unit, followed by exercises after each unit. This part includes 9 units and 9 exercises. The purpose is to help candidates understand the syllabus content, fully master the key points, identify their weaknesses, fill knowledge gaps, and gain confidence.
Part 2: Comprehensive Expression Exercises
Based on the test syllabus and an analysis of HSK (Advanced) sample papers, we found that the HSK (Advanced) primarily tests grammar in the context of comprehensive expression. Therefore, this part includes a large number of grammar-based comprehensive expression exercises. In terms of content, these exercises focus on the grammar points covered earlier, supplemented by some grammar points from the Level A, B, and C syllabi that may appear in the HSK (Advanced) exam. In terms of format, the exercises are designed according to the question types of the HSK (Advanced) grammar section, including four types: error identification, multiple-choice, ordering, and character filling. Through these exercises, candidates can deepen their understanding of the material, improve their ability to apply grammar comprehensively, and become familiar with the question formats while mastering some test-taking strategies. The exercises cover a broad range and are designed flexibly.
Part 3: Grammar Simulation Tests
This part includes four HSK (Advanced) comprehensive expression simulation tests to train candidates for the exam. The tests are designed to closely resemble real exam conditions, with difficulty levels and key points appropriately emphasized.
Part 4: Answers and Explanations
The answers are provided to help candidates verify their responses, while the explanations aim to clarify why certain answers are correct and others are incorrect, enabling candidates to understand not only what is right but why it is right. We hope this book will help HSK (Advanced) candidates pass the exam with flying colors.
