Features: The incubation, innovation, and growth process of enterprises is a gradual accumulation of knowledge to expand their production areas. It often requires innovation both internally and externally. Therefore, we first explore the concept, theory, etc., of knowledge-based enterprise incubation, mainly including the concept, form, function, services, success factors, and existing theories of enterprise incubators. In the following chapters, we discuss how enterprise incubators help knowledge-based enterprises grow from five aspects: organization, capital, technology, location, and policy. The later chapters discuss the specialization and virtualization of enterprise incubators from the perspective of resource integration and analyze the operation of virtual enterprise incubators. At the same time, through a comparative study of the development of enterprise incubators on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, we gain experience and lessons from the mainland and Taiwan in the development of enterprise incubators, thereby providing inspiration for the further development of mainland enterprise incubators and offering an empirical basis for incubation theory.
