Features: The Party Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources attaches great importance to theoretical discussions on the advancement of the Party. Minister Zhu Ningxiu made an important comment, requiring all Party organizations at various levels to seriously organize and implement the study of the Party's major strategic thoughts on strengthening the advancement of the Party. They should focus on the theme of the advancement of the Party and the actual work of water resources, conduct in-depth theoretical discussions on the advancement of the Party, promote the advancement of the Party in the water resources sector, and provide ideological and political guarantees for the comprehensive advancement of sustainable water management. At the National Water Resources Spiritual Civilization Construction Conference held at the end of 2005, specific arrangements were made for the theoretical discussion work. In early 2006, the Office of the Spiritual Civilization Construction Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources directly under the Ministry jointly issued a notice, making specific arrangements for the essay competition to be held across the national water resources sector. This event received more than 200 papers, which centered on the theme of the theoretical discussion, closely integrated with the professional work of water resources, and focused on in-depth reflection from two aspects: summarizing the experience of the advanced Party education activities and exploring theories to strengthen the advancement of the Party. The content covered various aspects, including the ideological, organizational, style, and institutional construction of the Party, as well as serving the construction of the new socialist countryside and establishing the socialist concept of honor and disgrace.
