Features: The Marriage Law is a law closely related to the daily lives of the people and serves as the fundamental guideline for marital and family life. China's Marriage Law, since its promulgation in 1950, has undergone two revisions in 1980 and 2001. The currently effective Marriage Law was promulgated on April 28, 2001. In response to the specific implementation of the Marriage Law, the Supreme People's Court issued two important judicial documents: the "Supreme People's Court Interpretation of Several Issues Concerning the Application of the Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China (No. 1)" and the "Supreme People's Court Interpretation of Several Issues Concerning the Application of the Marriage Law of the People's Republic of China (No. 2)." The State Council promulgated the "Marriage Registration Regulations."
