Features: Less than a year after the release of the bilingual edition of the classic management textbook Management: A Global Perspective (11th Edition), co-authored by Professor Heinz Weihrich and Professor Harold Koontz and translated by Professor Ma Chun Guang from the School of International Business at the University of International Business and Economics, the book was loved by a wide readership and went out of print for a second printing. To help readers better understand the original work, at the request of Professor Heinz Weihrich, we have specially invited Professor Ma Chun Guang to write this companion textbook, Management: A Global Perspective Case Studies. This Management: A Global Perspective Case Studies strives to integrate the research and innovation of management theory with case writing and analysis from the perspective of the management open systems model advocated by Professor Heinz Weihrich, combining the realities of China and the development history and current status of Chinese enterprises. It enables readers to grasp key points, master case analysis methods, and apply theory to practice while self-studying Management: A Global Perspective. Based on a systematic exposition of management theory, principles, and methods, this book focuses on topics such as the core competitiveness of Chinese enterprises, industrial value chain positioning, corporate strategic transformation, corporate culture construction, cross-cultural management, and international operations of Chinese enterprises. For these key topics, the author has compiled and summarized 32 cases from domestic and foreign enterprises, covering a wide range of industries such as retail, manufacturing, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, finance, IT, and media. The book is divided into three parts. The first part, Corporate Culture, Change, and Innovation, includes 20 cases; the second part, Value Chain, Corporate Strategy, Chain Stores, and International Operations, includes 12 cases; the third part, Case Analysis Tips, provides a brief analysis of the above 32 cases by the author, offering insights for readers to conduct in-depth case analysis.
