Features: The Logical Investigations is widely recognized as one of the most important "breakthrough" works in contemporary philosophy. Its influence not only shaped the thinking of many renowned scholars but also extended far beyond the field of philosophy. The two-volume The Logical Investigations as a whole demonstrates Husserl's dual interests in the field of phenomenology: logic in the direction of objects (intentional correlates) and phenomenology in the direction of subjects (intentional activities). The former is primarily concentrated in the first volume, while the latter is reflected in the second volume. Thus, the genuine phenomenological descriptive analysis can be found in the various studies of the second volume. "The phenomenological analysis begins here" (Husserl). The second volume consists of six studies. The first five studies form the first part of the volume. The first four studies provide a theoretical foundation for the subsequent key phenomenological analysis and conclusions of the fifth and sixth studies (which constitute the second part). The Twentieth Century Western Philosophy Translation Series selects major influential works from various schools of Western philosophy in the 20th century. Through selective translation, it aims to enrich cultural heritage, broaden academic horizons, enrich research topics, and provide systematic and complete reference materials for understanding and studying modern Western philosophy, thereby facilitating deeper borrowing and critique of Western culture by China's theoretical and academic communities.
